NOC 2021 Version 1.0 involves major structural changes which introduces a new 5-digit hierarchical structure, compared to a 4-digit hierarchical structure in the previous versions of this classification. Due to these major revisions NOC 2021 and NOC 2016 are not comparable. A concordance file and back-casted data for comparability will be available in other Census labour products released at a later date. For a complete list of changes please refer to: https://www.statcan.gc.ca/en/subjects/standard/noc/2021/introductionV1.
