Generation status
'Generation status' refers to whether or not the person or the person's parents were born in Canada.
Values
- Total - Generation status Footnote 1
- First generation Footnote 2
- Second generation Footnote 3
- Both parents born outside Canada
- One parent born outside Canada and one parent born in Canada
- Third generation or more Footnote 6
