In 2011, Abbotsford (City) had a population of 133,497, representing a percentage change of 7.4% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 375.55 square kilometres with a population density of 355.5 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 922,509.29 square kilometres with a population density of 4.8 persons per square kilometre.
