In 2011, Barrhead County No. 11 (Municipal district) had a population of 6,096, representing a percentage change of 4.3% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 2,404.70 square kilometres with a population density of 2.5 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 640,081.87 square kilometres with a population density of 5.7 persons per square kilometre.
