In 2011, Lacombe (City) had a population of 11,707, representing a percentage change of 8.9% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 20.89 square kilometres with a population density of 560.3 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 640,081.87 square kilometres with a population density of 5.7 persons per square kilometre.
