In 2011, Norwich (Township) had a population of 10,721, representing a percentage change of 2.3% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 431.28 square kilometres with a population density of 24.9 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 908,607.67 square kilometres with a population density of 14.1 persons per square kilometre.
