In 2011, Brant (City) had a population of 35,638, representing a percentage change of 3.6% from 2006. This compares to the national average growth of 5.9%.

Land area is 843.29 square kilometres with a population density of 42.3 persons per square kilometre. This compares to the provincial land area of 908,607.67 square kilometres with a population density of 14.1 persons per square kilometre.
